There should be a platform, online or other ways, where people can submit their ideas for a VS-VJC merger, before OVA meet with VEC/VAC again.
VJC 4 Year VIP: It's already co-ed (at least in upper secondary)
VJC, by implementing the 4 year VIP had already made the move towards co-ed for upper-secondary students, by attracting the Sec 2 boys from VS and boys and girls from other schools.
VJC, by its recently rejected proposal to "extend" the VIP by 2 years, would have made the complete move to co-ed.
The co-ed faction would have achieved their final objective of going co-ed, at least in one Victorian school, that is through VJC, if the proposal had been approved.
With the current 4 year VIP, VS boys who join VJC in Sec 3 would have only two years of an all boy education in VS followed by 4 years of co-ed in VJC.
Students who enter VS at Sec 1 should have a complete 4-yr sec education.
In other schools' merger, the secondary school principals are either transferred to MOE or became the Deputy Principal (with the JC principal becoming principal of new merger school). With this, secondary school principals are probably not too enthusiastic about mergers.
